CyanogenMod Unearths Floating ‘Heads Up’ Notifications In AOSP, Enables Them In Latest CM11 Nightlies

cyanogen thumb Here at Android Law enforcement, we’re no strangers to digging around in Google’s code and finding astonishing stuff inside. Apparently several members of the CyanogenMod team did the same, and found a hidden feature in KitKat: Heads Up notifications. These types of floating notifications are meant to be applied in full-screen apps or even Immersive Mode, but for unkown reasons, they aren’t switched on in AOSP code. (Perhaps these types of intended for the next major Android release. ) You can probably guess what happens next.
